September 04, after a day fretting about my application and printing and reprinting pages, sometimes for reasons as small as an em-dash in place of a colon, I hand-delivered my Individual Artists Project Grant to the AFA office 45 minutes ahead of deadline.

I am seeking funding for my tuition to the Creative Book Publishing program at Humber College as well as for the CanPub Road Tour.

Hopefully the jury will agree that the project is worthwhile for my development as an artist (that a literary artist can be a writer, as well as an editor and/or publisher) and that the project is also of value to the literary community in Alberta as a whole.

Time will indeed tell. In the meantime, I’ll be seeking other avenues toward funding. If you have any tips or leads, send me a note or leave a comment!
